Denmark’s Biggest Pop Export Michael Learns to Rock (MLTR), which last performed in July 2015 is coming back for a one-night concert “Eternal Asia Tour 2017” Live in Singapore on 02 September at Singapore Indoor Stadium.
MLTR is made up of drummer Kare Wanscher, singer-keyboardist Jascha Richter, as well as guitarist Mikkel Lentz. The band was formed in 1988 and have sold more than 11 million records physical albums since the debut album in 1991, more than 6 million paid downloads, estimated 50 million video views on YouTube and more than 1 million plays on Last.FM.
MLTR has earned Gold and Platinum status for records in many countries and won many awards, including the Gold Preis Award from RSH, Germany and “The Best Performing Act of the Year” at the SEA Grammy Awards in Singapore. Their major hit songs such as ‘Paint My Love’, ‘ The Actor ‘,’ Sleeping Child ‘, ’25 Minutes’,’ That’s Why You Go Away ‘, ‘Take Me to Your heart’ etc has brought the band much fame and honour in the world’s music ranking.
In addition, “Take Me to Your Heart”, a re-make of popular Chinese singer Jacky Cheung´s “Goodbye Kiss” became another huge hit in 2006 and it was awarded “Most downloaded single of the year 2006” had more than 6 million paid downloads.
One of their single “Eternal Love” was recorded in 2014 as the theme song of a Korean TV drama “Healer”.
2017, MLTR will be back to Singapore with “Eternal Asia Tour”. Check out the new production! Different from the past, setting for the show consist of 2 stages. B-stage will be placed opposite the main stage in order for MLTR to get closer to fans who are sitting farther away from the main stage.
